 FAQs

  • Direct Primary Care is a movement among primary care providers, who believe in giving the highest quality of care and value to their patients. We do this by removing the middleman, insurance companies. It turns out that when we don’t bill insurance companies, costs go down a lot. We don’t have to see as many patients in a given day, which means longer visits and more time spent on your care. We can provide the best possible care because we only work for you. Costs are fully transparent, and we have negotiated discounted lab and imaging prices. You don’t have to worry about co-pays, confusing bills, or hidden fees. It’s that simple.

  • Here at The Tree of Life Clinic, we are concerned with how we can foster connections in our community to better the health of all of our members and the Tucson community at large. We are only as healthy as the most vulnerable among us. The human animal is a social animal and we are meant to live and play in groups. Through the safety of connection, together we can heal one individual at a time. How this will look for our members is, as we grow, you will see offerings for group visits, group classes, workshops, and healthy, fun social events.

  • If you have a true emergency, please go directly to the hospital or call 911. That’s why we recommend our patients carry insurance—to cover the unexpected, expensive hospital based care that is necessary sometimes.

If you have an urgent issue, call us first. We may be able to see you right away and save you a trip.

If you need a specialist, we will refer you and keep in close touch with the physician to make sure we’re all on the same page. We have your best interest in mind, and will be your advocate. We do recommend carrying insurance for speciality care, but if you are paying out of pocket, we can work to negotiate a cash price for you.

  • Concierge practices typically bill insurance to get paid in addition to charging a monthly or annual fee. We on the other hand, do not bill insurance, so there’s no co-pays or confusing bills. It’s what allows us to keep our cost low, typically lower than a cell phone bill, which means lower prices for you in addition to outstanding service.

  • No. We keep our costs low by not accepting traditional health insurance. We are not an insurance company, nor does our practice replace your health insurance. Just like we leave out the insurance company as the middleman, we leave out the pharmacy mark-ups too. With an in-house pharmacy, you leave the office with prescriptions in hand; no need to go to the pharmacy when you are ill and no risk of getting the wrong medication or dose. All for less than the price of most discount pharmacy pricing or insurance co-pays. If you are interested in a specific medication or price, please feel free to give us a call.
